Regulations For GRTU Lease Access Members Auxiliaries, Junior Associates, and Guests |
- Members must maintain their status in good standing with parent Trout Unlimited and the Guadalupe River Chapter throughout the valid term of the permit issued to them. Failure to do so shall result in the permit being recalled.
- Issuance and acceptance of a permit by member, acknowledges that member agrees to abide by all regulations of the State of Texas, Texas Parks and Wildlife, the Guadalupe River Chapter, parent Trout Unlimited and Chapter's Lessors.
- Members shall prominently display the current Access Permit on an outer garment and display the Parking Permit on the dashboard of vehicle when entering or fishing at lease premises.
- Access through leased properties to the Guadalupe River is for fishing only. Picnicking, camping, hunting, carrying or discharging firearms, excessive noise, overindulgence of alcoholic beverages, wood cutting, fires, littering or any activities other than fishing access are prohibited.
- Members shall use the access provided at their sole risk, the Guadalupe River Chapter of Trout Unlimited and the Chapter's lessors being held harmless upon member's use and acceptance of the Lease Access Permit.
- All members shall be required to register the license tag number of the vehicle(s) that will be utilizing the Lease Access Parking permit issued to the permit holder.
- As a condition of all access to the Guadalupe River gained as a result of a GRTU Lease Access Permit, members shall practice "catch and release". Fishing shall be by single hooked artificial flies and lures, and all trout taken must be immediately returned to the water after landing. No trout shall be kept.
Members are asked, and urged, to practice "catch and release" and only to fish with single hooked artificial flies and lures in the waters adjacent to our access lease sites and elsewhere on the Guadalupe River, particularly with respect to all brown trout and brood size rainbows To do otherwise will, be detrimental to our fishery enhancement programs.
- Special conditions may be imposed by lessor(s). When this occurs, a sign will be posted at the lease access entry points(s) Special Conditions are listed on the reverse of the Parking Permit. Members must comply fully with such posted conditions or restrictions.
- Date and place of the Chapter's trout stocking drops will be sent only to holders of a valid Lease Access Permit.
- No pets are permitted on any of the Lease Access properties.
- Use of the Lease Access Permit by a professional fishing guide is prohibited for the purpose of providing river access to or guiding clients.
- Lease Access Program privileges are non transferable.
- All members agree to hold one another accountable to these regulations, and specifically agree that any reasonable and polite inquiry by a member regarding the regulations is not intentional interference with a members right to catch wildlife as defined in Texas Parks and Wildlife Code, Sec. 62.0125.
- Failure to comply with any of the provisions, rules, regulations and restrictions, herein contained, shall be grounds for revocation of member's permit at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
