After getting off to a late start, all the trout finally made it to the river. To recap what went in this season, we put in a total of 15,000 pounds of trout. The overall average weight was 1.25 pounds, with about 1,200 lbs. being mature breeders and about 400 lbs. being immature browns.
The breeders have spawned out, and by the time this goes to print, we should know what kind of success we’ve had with enhanced stream-born trout.
I've started gearing up for next season and am trying to start negotiations on acquiring some new leases for "the millennium."
I'd like to thank, again, all the volunteers who braved our frigid winter to help out with the stockings.
See ya on the river.
