Plan Now for TU's 1997 National Convention

Trout Unlimited's 1997 National Convention will take place July 31-August 2, 1997 at the Radisson Summit Hill Hotel in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Keynote speaker will be Karen Wade, Great Smoky Mountains National Park Superintendent. TU CEO Charles Gauvin will deliver a "State of TU" address, and there will be discussions on TU's new strategic plan; National Resource Board conservation deliberations; special sessions on Southern tailwater fisheries and acid deposition in the Appalachian Mountains; the annual membership meeting; free, guided fishing trips; and more.

The Tennessee Council will host this year's Convention, and chapters from across the Southeast will donate special items for the Convention's National Banquet and Auction. Events for family members include a picnic and tour of Cades Cove, a visit to the Knoxville Museum of Art, and a barbecue and bluegrass concert on the Clinch River (open to all convention registrants).

Registration forms will appear in the Spring 1997 issue of Trout magazine, scheduled for publication in early April.
