April Program: Doug Ming Is Back, So It's Trout Time in the Rockies
Anyone who was on hand for Rocky Mountain trout expert Doug Ming's program about four years ago will be delighted to know that he has been booked for an encore at the April 26 meeting.
Doug's program, "Chasing Trout in the Rocky Mountains," will be backed by years of experience-and fish. Born in Colorado, Doug has fly fished the streams, rivers, and lakes of his native state, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and New Mexico.
He'll share his experiences and, more important, his techniques and the flies he uses on different waters in a morning program slide show.
After the slide show, Doug will conduct an on-the-water session on nymphing techniques on the Guadalupe by the Canyon Lake Dam.
Also, two Angler Education sessions for new lease permit holders will be conducted at the meeting, one at 9 A.M. and another at noon.
