Tonight, you have the rare opportunity to hear from an expert on hill country water, droughts, and floods!
- Bring your questions and your neighbors -
Will there be enough water to satisfy the needs of Hill Country residents?
Will this water be fit to drink?
Luckily, for us, the answer is still multiple choice, if we make the right decisions now.
Come hear renowned hydrologist Raymond Slade discuss the history and future of our hill country water. As seen in his PBS movie, “Flashflood Alley”, and as he has written about in many publications, he will educate us as to the impacts of nature and humans on our vital and precious water supply.
Raymond Slade has extensive historical perspective and experience along with the knowledge to help give us insight on the precarious future our rivers, springs, streams, lakes and aquifers are facing.
We need this understanding to make the proper decisions to preserve our waters for the future. We need to act now to ensure water in our wells tomorrow.
Come join us Thursday, September 17th at 6:00 pm at the Faith United Church, 970 N. Loop 337 (at Common St. across from Rudy’s)
Clean water and homemade goodies will be provided.
