Well I found a new material to tie flys with - green or red saran wrap from the holiday season. I just bunch it up making a type of rope and use it as body material. It comes in red and green that I know of but I'll be on the lookout for other colors.
Do you have something unique that you tie flys with?

I have a reputation with the family for loving the wrapping more than the gifts. I always come away from the Christmas gift exchange with some new material that seems great for tying!

I brush out the tail hair on my Maltipoo and use dubbed for body hair. It's a tan/cream color.

Daryl
The fine stuff that comes out of a cat brush makes pretty good dubbing too.

Well here is the first fly with the saran wrap. Its a little rough but I think it has potential.

I wonder how the saran wrap would work with making the ridging on the back of a scud?
God Bless, Daryl
