Yesterday I was practicing casting with my new line and rod just to get a little time on the Guadalupe in NB. I didn't catch anything, but I was playing with my new rod more than seriously casting to fish. On my way out I almost trip on some fishing line left in the river. I go to pull it up and along with the branch attached to the line is a nice 12" Guadalupe Bass. Still alive, I don't know how long he'd been hooked on that line, but I freed him and he swam away just fine. I was going to take a photo, but I figured he'd been left on the hook for long enough. Anyway, I guess it's always a good idea to clean up line left in the water when you come accross it. You never know what you may find at the end of it.
