Recommendations for warm weather locations.

Post by trucha grande » Thu Jun 19, 2014 6:57 pm

Looking to get new 6 wt I purchased last month from one of our local fly shops wet. Any advise would be greatly appreciated, I live close to Bandera. I am considering upper Guad. Image

What about the Medina River just upstream of Bandera to Medina ?
From there you have: Sabinal, Frio, Nueces, Upper Guadalupe, Llano to name a few.
Check out Flyfishing the Texas Hill Country, that with a Mapsco Texas map and you be set for years of exploring.

Google shows two books by that title. Both look informative and I will likely look at both. Is yours authored by Hutchison or by Priddy?

Thanks"..."

Priddy wrote the original and Hutchinson updated it with more current information.

Phil Shook's book is also pretty handy, and is a no-brainer with Abebooks prices
