Local Creek Fishing Pics

Post by erhd55 » Sun Apr 17, 2011 11:08 am

My buddy Curtis (bassackwards) and I got out for a day of creek fishing. I won't name the creek since the creek is starting to show signs of being pounded and overfished by those who don't practice catch and release.

I hope that you like the pics.

Nice pictures, Edward. And you're right not to post the name of the creek. If I'm right, it's a lovely piece of water that can't stand any more attention.

there is a lot of ignored little water around Austin - at least there was when I lived there.
I regularly fished Bull Creek from 360 to Lake Austin - in spite of all the people in the water, there was always great fishing.
Upstream at the Spice Springs Rd. park (it was private land then, and I met the landowner) I caught 10-lb. bass in the impoundment there.
Onion Creek, North Fork San Gabriel from 183 down. S. fork San Gabriel. Bee Creek.

Ed always jumps straight to the explicit fish porn. A few more pics from the same trip:

Nice Fenwick rod, I tried to buy one at a live auction, but another bidder pushed it up to $110 dollars, and I bowed out.
The more I think about it the more I think I should have kept going.

It's an FF756--one of my favorite rods for bass fishing on small streams.
