I'm waiting for a 8' 5wt from Mike McFarland. I should see it in a few weeks!

Pete, I'm looking forward to your comments and review on the rod. Congratulations.

Ron,

I did, but given our financial situation, it seemed like an extravagance, so I cancelled the order.

I got a Fenwick (FF806) from Ebay instead.

Mick did well. Remind me not to negotiate with him.

Alex:

Not much of a negotiator. Just seldom find a rod I don't like. They all seem to have their redeeming values.

We need to meet sometime. I've heard lots of good things about you and from you (via the forums).

Stay cool and catch fish.

Alex was an instantly naturalized Texan.
He has a strange drawl, though.

What's not to like in Texas: the fish are bigger and the people nicer than in NY. I'm even learning to speak the local argot. For example, "all youse all guys are great."

Mick, the next time you're down here let's go fishing together.

Now you blew it Alex--"youse all" is no where close to "Ya'll." But--you're on the right track. You're funny! :P

Trout....wading.....jeans......net.....phone cord?

This picture makes my head hurt.

'Course I suppose a snuff dipping fat guy in shorts with a big cowboy hat and a Tenkara rod could too.....

Alex, remind me to tell ya about an amusing story involving "youz" from my brief stint in Philly.

Waders are for wimps. Even jeans are a little wimpy, but there are lines one shouldn't cross.

I'd love to year a Philly story, especially if it involves cheese steaks.

Hey reading this thread is complete enjoyment knowing most of you by having met at GRTU meetings or on the river. It is GREAT to see and read the writings of fishermen that love the sport. Hey Ron hope we can get together soon I need to pick some more of your brain about old reels and fishing with grass. Hope to see you guys soon travel safe.

Oddly enough, the best Cheesesteaks I found in the area were in Jersey. http://www.oaklynmenus.com/menus/philly.htm
