Re: Ant Fly Patterns

I caught dozens of sunfish this summer on an ant like this- http://images.orvis.com/orvis_assets/prodimg/0128NW.jpg The Tackle Box carries those foam cylinders. Edit- not sure it matters but I think I tied mine in three sections, with hackle in two places where the foam is compressed by the thread. ...

Re: Fishing in the rain

The size of the body on that one compared to its head told me it was HUNGRY. I ain't knockin it, I love catching our speckled pickles as much as anybody. This guy from the Med...

all of the lower Medina is snaky, fishy looking water. Right below the dam at Landmark Inn State Park, you can catch Big white bass all winter long. Medina below the Lake

Howdy folks, As part of my preparation for BikeMS, I was on a training ride Saturday that took me out past Paradise Canyon. (Via CR 371- rough road, kinda sucks on a bike) That spot on the Medina I crossed over looked quite appealing. It looked like you could wade a ways upstream from the crossing, ...

Re: E Coli in the rivers

I'm good. I've fished near Junction and Comfort in the prior two months and had good times and caught good numbers. Sure hope we get some more rain, especially near Medina so that can be my home river again. I've got a 6wt Predator landing today and can't wait to bend it against some critters. I'll ...

Re: Just Sad

I fished with my father in law for a few hours near Comfort yesterday. Better flows than we've had and the water was even a bit murky from the turbulence. Numbers caught were off a bit, but it was still fun, and I don't think we sweat a bit. Wonder if any of it will make it down to the big lake befo...

Jeebus, alright, someone else needs my help more than you.

Hell of a Rio, and it looks like somebody stretched the tails on those sunfish.
