Greg,

I haven't cast a TFO TiCrX (my 10ft. 5wt. Professional is my go-to trout rod). Is the 7'6" 6wt. a very stiff and fast rod?

Ron,

Your Phillipson Master is beautiful. Have you ever cast a Phillipson Epoxite? If so, how do you compare the Master to the Epoxite?

Clear water

You're not kidding about the title of your thread. That water looks like it just flowed down from the Rockies. Makes me feel good just to look at the photos, so I can imagine what it must have been like to have been there. The fish must have been a bonus

Rod for the Guad

Ron,

If you don't mind, could you tell me where you get your Teeny leaders? And, is the zap splice you talk about Whitlock's technique of coating the leader butt with Zap-A-Gap and sticking it into the fly line end?

Thanks,
Alex

Lynxhaven Lodge

TexasFlyfishing.com recommends Lynxhaven Lodge on the upper Guadalupe. Has anyone fished there and, if so, could you tell us something about your experience?

Thanks,
Alex

Danny S, Yes, I'm really coming down (probably mid-July). Perhaps we could fish together. Ron Mc., Thanks for the great information. Could I ask you some additional questions: I've never used a sink-tip line. Would the Teeny 130 be a good all-around line to use in the hill country? If so, does it co...

Guadalupe Bass

Thanks everyone for the excellent and informative replies. One more question: has anyone ever tried indicator fishing for Guadaloupes or Smallmouth (a big nymph under a yarn indicator, for example)?

Best,
Alex

Guadalupe Bass

As I've indicated in a previous post, I'm moving down to Austin in the near future. I look forward to joining the lease program and learning about Guadalupe River trout fishing, but in the interim, I'd also like to educate myself about Guadalupe bass. Therefore, a few questions: 1. Do Guadalupe bass...
