Parker, thanks for the recommendation on the CD...my copy arrived in the mail today.
I had a tough day at work, but listening to that CD on the way home made me smile...What I Like About Texas, Guadalupe Days, Road Trip, and the venerable London Homesick Blues. Great ear candy!

Holy smokes! That's pretty cool. Flathead might be the reason for a dearth of perch in that area too...they are known to be pretty aggressive predators...

That's pretty consistent with what I heard as well...I was there on Friday, but wasn't able to get there until mid morning. A few that I talked to on the river said they had done very well fishing under the full moon the night before.
