Brings back great memories of my grandkids. Hope you took the opportunity after that last photo to tell him not to lower-lip a fish. It produces a severe strain on their jaw ligaments and can kill the fish.

I think most of us learned the habit from watching all the redneck bass fishing shows on TV. There wasn't a bass caught that wasn't held up for the camera by the lower jaw with someone in the background chiming, "purty fish". Thankfully the word is getting out.

Comal county, Alex. FM 311 cuts to the left (Southeast) from HY 281 just north of where 281 crosses the Guad. The 311 bridge is about 3 miles SE of the 311-281 intersection. I fish there often. Park on the north side of the bridge, either side of road. Plenty of room for parking but heed the signage that denotes 'where not to park'. Your car will be safe if parked in proper areas.
