Surving the drought!

I went to my favorite pond yesterday for the first time since about this time last year. With the water level dropping due to the extremely hot and long summer, I was concerned for the survival of the fish. I have a friend who lives out that way and he would keep me abreast of the diminishing water....

Mick is right about the Cibolo. It's flowing about 58cfs. 4wt or smaller, short or ultrlight. I fished there a few times last year with low flows. The bass were extremly skitish in the slack water. The sunfish not so much and were caught casting to the far bank and stripping the fly. It's very sceni...
