@Zach, thanks man. Point noted, you make sense actually. Not sure why I didn't think of it. Hopefully I'll be in this situation again in the future and use your technique.

Cheers.....

Wait for it... Ok, it's just a Wiper

Hello there butter-stick wielding gents, hope y'all have been having some fine time in Texas this summer. Hopefully better than mine at least given my saga of broken heart and a couple of broken rods. But my luck was about to change and hopefully for the better. After the "No Bueno Striper Hunt @ Gu...

Re: White Bass

@Jimbo,

Thanks for the info mate, much appreciated. I was planning on hitting the same location and chucking some nasty ones at the stripers this weekend, may be a trip to Sabine Lake isn't half bad of an idea!

Cheers.....

Caught this little guy and a buck-nasty gar! a by catch that I wasn't even expecting. I was able to land a crazy amount of white bass that day, too bad it was all catch...

Re: Striped Bass -Guadalupe River Below Canyon Lake Dam

@Zach, appreciate the info!

I will try my best to scout for them myself wading first. It would be extremely frustrating going empty handed after driving all the way from Houston. May be I'll go with a flat trip someday.

Cheers.

Striped Bass -Guadalupe River Below Canyon Lake Dam

Hello all, I've been fishing the Guad for the past few years and I was informed that the river has a good population of Striped Bass below the dam. I've never been lucky enough to catch one despite chucking monstrous streamers or minnow patterns. I would appreciate if anybody here have any insights ...

How about some stipers around Houston? Any wade-able waters close by?

Cheers..........

Re: White Bass

Anybody know of good wading access upstream of Rebecca Creek? Looks like a whole lot of private property over there. I will be driving in from Houston and would like to taste some of the White Bass action, unless pointed towards some good wading spots around Houston.

Tight lines!
