Re: Trouble reading Private Messages

Good info Ron. Silly me, it was my inbox that was full. I deleted a bunch of old PMs, closed the address, re-opened it, checked release PMs on hold, and I could read them. I have been on top of deleted PM responses, but neglected to delete inbox messages lately. I have now responded to all PMs sent....

Trouble reading Private Messages

Hi everyone I have been receiving private messages from members and for some reason I can not open them up and read them. I received 4 in the past 3 days I can't see them. I am not ignoring you, I am on the forum everyday trying to answer questions our members have. I called David and he is going to...

Re: We need Rain !

It's that time again.
We are in an unusual dry spell.
NOAA is predicting a La Nina winter.
We need rain and we need it now.....

Tom tom tom tom.....
Tom tom tom tom.....
Tom tom tom tom.....

Praying for enough rain in the right places.

Re: Striped Bass -Guadalupe River Below Canyon Lake Dam

I sure hope you get them !
I am sure that the previous 2 years of flooding on the Guadalupe have put a bunch of new Stripers in the river that need to be caught and removed.
The sooner the better !

Re: Striped Bass -Guadalupe River Below Canyon Lake Dam

Word to the wise.... If you plan to keep Trout and are floating from the dam downstream into the 2 more restrictive harvest zones..... If you are stopped by a game warden you will be held to the laws that apply to the zone where you are stopped. Saying you caught the 5 fish in a zone with less restr...

Re: We need Rain !

I can not announce the first stocking date yet.
That being said I would go fish the Chama and Rio Grande anytime one can.
Our Trout aren't going anywhere and the Guadalupe will be waiting for you when you get back.

Re: We need Rain !

12,000lbs of Rainbows. We've been stocking 12,000lbs for as long as I can remember.
I know that we stocked much less back in the early 80's, but somewhere in the 90's we started stocking more.
I wasn't involved in stocking till around 2000, before that I have no data.

I'm getting antsy.
I'm going to do a little Dove Hunting and then it's off to Pagosa again.

Re: We need Rain !

Nope, the lake moved up about 1/3 of a foot. It's still 2 feet away from pool and it's not going to make it any time soon. Here in San Antonio, at my house, we received just under 2 1/2 inches of rain. and much less over the upper Guadalupe basin. It did keep the river cool for a few days, but that'...

Re: We need Rain !

Guess what? It's raining. He's called Harvey. Apparently when I asked the rain to follow me home, Someone was listening. The real trick to something like this, is getting just enough rain in the right place to fill Canyon Lake to pool, but not much over that. It's about to get interesting here in Te...

Re: Back into the Mountains

Show us some pics of your Cutthroats ! I know I'd like to see them. I have yet to fish the Arkansas drainage, but it's on the list. Many rod manufactures will offer you a more modern replacement if they no longer have the blanks to replace the piece that is broken. I know of several friends that hav...

Re: Back into the Mountains

Epilogue What can I say that would sum up this year's summer trip? This was an unusual summer with high water most places I fished. Snowpacks being 150-200% in most areas of the Rockies, then add the almost daily rains, and much of my fishing time and ability to hike/wade further from the truck was ...
