Re: We need Rain !

It's looking to be another very wet week in Central Texas.
If the forecasts are correct we are going to get close to pool soon.

Re: We need Rain !

Update 8:39pm

The Upper Guadalupe is flooding the North Fork alone has gone from 8cfs to 7210cfs and still rising.
Heavy rain should continue overnight and into tomorrow evening.
I am hoping we don't get a 100,000cfs flood like they did on the Llano today.

Re: We need Rain !

The upper Guadalupe has not caught much rain yet. We are in a wet pattern and likely to stay that way for some time. I am hoping for a gradual rise of the lake to maintain the thermocline. That being said this winter is looking good. Flows are already 95cfs. With continued rains I am expecting the l...

The system will not accept my membership. It tells me to call TU. I have called them and verified all of my information. I have taken the test 4 times now due to the membership thing. Not sure what to do at this point.
Contact Dustin Scott, V P of Membership. He may be able to help you.

Re: 2018-19 LAP Registration Now OPEN

During the testing it happened to me several times.
I think it was my third try and it worked. We talked about it and thought it was fixed.
Like I say it's beyond me, that's for Dustin and the I.T. guys to figure out.

Those locked up Axis are just another reminder of what can happen in the natural world. Nature is a true battle of survival of the fittest, facing life and death everyday to get to the next. Some must die for others to live. So many of our current population do not understand what is going on outsid...

Re: We need Rain !

The lake came up to 905.5'msl overnight, that's over 3/4 a foot. If it keeps raining in the upper water shed we may see pool before Thanksgiving which would be great !!! So.....

Re: It's all about getting wet Again

I was fishing a Sage 690 XP, that I custom built. I like grips that are larger in diameter than factory, and aIl the guides are titanium framed SIC for better stripping. The reel is a Ross San Miguel 3 loaded with Scientific Anglers GPX flyline. That's good water, but right now the gage closest to t...

Re: We need Rain !

Just a note the trigger date for the Flow Agreement to kick in May15th (lake reaching pool at the day or anytime during the Flow Agreement period)More importantly the lake level must be 909'msl or above (not 910'msl). And yes that's a lot of needed rain to bring the lake up to that level. The good n...

Re: Fernie British Columbia Trip

It's one of the reasons I want to cross into Canada.
I have been watching videos of the place for a long time.
I've got some places marked up on my maps waiting to be explored.
I was even thinking this might be the summer to fish the Elk and others.
Maybe next year.....

Re: We need Rain !

The upper Basin caught some rain, but just enough to bring it off single digits. Seems a lot of the rain there just soaked in really dry ground and didn't bring up the river much. Most of the real heavy rains fell on the Medina, San Antonio, and Cibolo creek. waterwatch.usgs.gov/?m=real&r=tx It has ...

Re: Quiet Board

I've generally been avoiding the heat this summer here in Texas. I did go for a short hop into northern New Mexico for 10 days. Unfortunately the Santa Fe N.F. was closed just before leaving because of fire potential. This is where I would have concentrated my fishing exploits. That left the Carson ...

Flows to be "0" cfs Wednesday

I would recommend that no one fish on Wednesday June 13th. GBRA and the CORE are going to do their annual inspection of the internal gate in the dam. They will cut the flows to "0" cfs to do this. It couldn't be at a worse time of year being the water and air temps are so warm. I guess it will speed...
