Re: Buffalo River, Ar.

Finally got it edited and got those last two pictures worked out.

I highly reccomend this trip to any one who wants to ffyfish for bass in an absolutely beautiful and pristine wilderness area, not to mention the trout fishing they have. We will definitely be going back.

Buffalo River, Ar.

This is part of a longer thread on the Arkansas Flyfishing board. I wanted to share here as well. The original thread is at http://flyfishingarkansasandmissouri.yuku.com/topic/5697 Putting in, just past the bridge at Dillards Ferry Wed. afternoon http://lh4.ggpht.com/_arBdcoGGk2Y/Sq9xmo4efWI/AAAAAAA...

I was about to post for some info on the Buffalo when I saw this thread. I'm considering a trip there in the fall. Are there any helpful websites with discussion forums for fishing in that part of Arkansas? Do you know of any good fly shops there?
Thanks,

Application submitted for mining operation on the Llano

Just thought I would pass this on, something we should all be aware of and take a stand against. There is an address at the bottom to submit written comments to: Hearing set for Llano River sand and gravel application from the Llano News The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is being asked ...

I'm a big fan of the Hobie fishcat for certain waters and definitely not for all around use. The only problem I have is the pricetag. Thats why I was asking if anyone had experience with the Tahoe Fisher. I've been using my Scrambler for all around go anywhere use for a long time and one of my favor...

Pete and JP, Why did you choose the ultimate over the manta ray or magic? I'm considering a flats kayak and those Natives look real sweet. My scrambler works very well on rivers and gets me by in the flats but standing in it and fishing is not really do-able. Also, has anyone here been in one of the...

Great post and photos Jimbo! I haven't done much fishing in a while or been out West since spring but this post is going to make me carve out some time (and some gas money)!

That one is Barton Creek- probably will be dry as a bone next week. It sounds like Bull Creek will be the next one to have it's day in court.

Yes Ron, and there's one more glass junkie on the streets these days

Perch jerkin

With petrol headed for $4/gal. and the lower colorado all mucked up by the insane releases, I'll be seeking out many more "urban opportunities". Not a bad prospect since I'll be heading to places that look like this that are less than 5 miles from the house- http://lh3.ggpht.com/maxhambly/SB-jGxLkTd...

Jchristensen- you're just a little over an hour away from good fishing on the Llano, you don't have to go all the way to the State park
Jimbo- can you elaborate on ACOE tanks in Cedar Park? I haven't heard of that one. Thanks,

I caught gaspars in cherokee creek a few weeks ago there are plenty of them in there. It's in Bend, close to lampasas. They grow big and put up a good fight- a good time on a fly rod.
