Children, ages 10 through 17, of GRTU
Chapter Supporting Members shall be Junior Associate Members without
further qualification. Upon attaining age 18, they will no longer be
eligible for this class of membership.
Junior Associate Members shall not be voting
members or otherwise participate in the administrative or governing
affairs of the Chapter. They may attend Chapter meetings and other events
sponsored by the Chapter when accompanied by their Chapter Supporting
parent. When a Chapter Supporting parent is active on a committee, the
functions of which may provide a learning experience, the committee
chairman may, at his or her sole discretion, grant permission for a Junior
Associate Member to participate in the committee’s activities under the
supervision of the sponsoring parent.
Junior Associate Members may participate in
the recreational fishing provided under the Chapter's Lease Access Program
subject to the following conditions and restrictions:
- A Chapter Supporting Member may sponsor his/her
eligible children in the program by paying the currently required fee
for each such child sponsored and by filing with the Chapter Treasurer,
an application for the issuance of a lease access permit in the name of
each child.
- The sponsoring parent(s) shall have, at all times, full
parental and legal responsibility for any and all actions of his/her
minor child growing out of participation in the program with, assumption
thereof, being a specific condition of GRTU Lease Access permit
issuance. Use of the lease access provided shall at the sole risk of
parent and child, the Guadalupe River Chapter of Trout Unlimited and the
Chapter's Lessor(s) being held harmless upon use and acceptance of the
GRTU lease access permit(s).
- Junior Associate Members issued lease access permits shall be
subject to all terms, conditions, rules, and regulations for which all
permit holders are held accountable. Further, they shall not enter onto
or otherwise use a GRTU lease access or other access arrangement unless
the they are accompanied by and under the supervision of their
sponsoring parent. Failure to comply shall be grounds for revocation of
their GRTU Lease Access permit(s).
